Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers understand clothing more clearly: its construction, fabrics, care, history or role in a particular occasion. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the specific question your piece will answer, why it matters to a general reader and what fresh angle makes it worth reading. A useful pitch has a clear scope, a few points it will explain and a grounded account of the material it will rely on. Keep the proposal concise and explain any relevant experience without assuming readers need specialist knowledge.
Subjects and approach
We are interested in garment details, fabric comparisons, clothing care, fashion history and thoughtful occasion-based dressing. We favour explanation over trend lists, practical distinctions over sweeping rules and careful context over claims that one style suits everyone. Avoid pitches that require unsafe garment treatment or make unsupported promises about appearance.
How to propose a piece
Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline, the proposed category and any sources or visual material you expect to use. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; we will consider its fit and scope before discussing a draft.
